The Browser Company begins beta launch of Arc browser for Windows
The Browser Company has officially started the beta launch of itshttps://alternativeto.net/software/arc-from-the-browser-company/about/ for Windows, responding to user demand following the July 1.0 public release of its Mac client. The first batch of users for the Windows client is being onboarded, with plans to significantly increase invite roll-outs in January. Over 500,000 users are currently on the waitlist for access.
While the Windows client is not yet on par in terms of features with the Mac client at launch, the company is actively developing many of the unique features like Peek and Mini Arc for the Windows version as well. Another interesting point to highlight is that Arc for Windows was developed as a Swift-based browser, utilizing Apple's Swift programming language.
Over the past year, Arc Browser has gained popularity among those seeking a new alternative to classic web browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Brave, or Vivaldi. This is partly due to its powerful webpage customization tools, but also to AI-based features such as 'Arc Mask,' its AI chatbot assistant within the browser, and the recent integration of ChatGPT for select searches.
