Microsoft boosts Copilot with OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo, Code Interpreter, and more features

Microsoft's AI assistant, Copilot, is set to be enhanced with OpenAI's latest GPT-4 Turbo model. This advancement expands the AI's context window to 128K, enhancing its comprehension of user queries and the quality of its responses. The GPT-4 Turbo model is currently being tested and expected to be fully integrated into Copilot in the coming weeks.

Copilot will also benefit from a new Code Interpreter feature, allowing it to write and run code in response to natural language requests—especially beneficial for developers. Users will gain the ability to upload and download files, enabling them to work with their own data and code. Alongside this, users can anticipate improvements with an enhanced DALL-E 3 model, providing more accurate and higher-quality image generation aligned with prompts (which users can now try out in Microsoft Paint).

Microsoft Edge will also see some improvements in its integration with Copilot through its sidebar, allowing users to compose AI texts directly within website text inputs though 'Inline Compose', or to summarize videos from YouTube without having to leave the platform. If you want to discover all the new features and improvements for Copilot, you should check out the press release the company has put together to celebrate Copilot's first year.
