Apple launched iOS 17.2, introducing the new Journal app, Spatial Video Capture, and more!
Apple has launched iOS 17.2, incorporating several new features and updates. One of the most notable additions is the Journal app, created to record both minor and significant events, imilar to long-time known apps like Day One or Journey. The app smartly organizes outings, photos, workouts, etc., into "moments", and it provides filters for quick access to bookmarked entries or entries with attachments, promoting regular journaling with scheduled notifications. The journal can be locked with Touch ID or Face ID for enhanced privacy, and iCloud sync for encrypted storage of entries.
The iOS 17.2 update also adds a translate option to the Action button on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, enabling swift translation and multilingual interactions. The update also enables spatial video capture on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, facilitating three-dimensional memory reliving on Apple Vision Pro. The Telephoto camera's focus speed for capturing distant small objects has been improved on these models.

The Apple Weather app now includes precipitation forecasts for the next 10 days, new widgets with weather-related information, a wind map snapshot, and an interactive moon calendar.
