Google Messages Beta introduces noise cancellation, markdown, and customizable profiles

Google Messages is enhancing its voice recording feature with a noise cancellation option in its beta version. This feature, which can be activated by tapping a "Noise Cancellation" button during or before a voice recording, reduces background noise in voice notes. Although currently only available to beta users, a full release is expected in the future.

Google Messages' beta version is also experimenting with markdown text formatting. This feature lets users emphasize text using symbols such as asterisks. While the beta version supports a limited number of markdowns, a complete rollout is planned soon.

Lastly, the company is also working on customizable wallpapers and profile options for Google Messages. These will allow users to customize their app and create shareable profiles with personal details.
