Deezer, the French-based music streaming service, has rebranded and redesigned its platform, now positioning itself as an "experience services platform." The new purple-heart logo and app redesign emphasize music expression and connection beyond traditional streaming.
Despite the rebranding, the company maintains its core identity as a music-centric platform, setting itself apart from other audio platforms like Spotify, TIDAL or YouTube Music by focusing exclusively on music.
CEO Jeronimo Folgueira also shared updates on Deezer's 'artist-centric' payout plans, which are designed to benefit artists and indie labels with valuable content. The new payout system aims to tackle structural issues in the music industry, ensuring a sustainable future for artists and labels.
