Start11 V2 update launches with new Start Menu styles, Taskbar improvements, and more

Stardock has released the Start11 v2 update, the new version of its well-known tool for customizing Windows 10 and Windows 11, (especially the controversial Start menu). The update introduces three new Start menu styles: Professional, Launcher, and App styles. The Professional style mimics Windows 7 Start menu layout, while the App style provides a streamlined interface with the pinned area next to the all apps list. The Launcher style highlights the pinned area with larger icons for a minimalist aesthetic (you should visit their website to get a better idea of the many new options).

The Start11 v2 update also includes the ability to create tabs in the Start menu's pinned area for grouping related icons however you want, and on top of that, it features a function to color-match Start menu icons with theme colors for a cohesive look (essentially tinting them). The update also improves taskbar customization, allowing users to pin folders and files directly for easier access. A folder menu can also be pinned to the taskbar for convenient navigation of folder structures. And if you are an Everything user, you'll be pleased to know that it's now integrated into the search bar within the Start menu as well, allowing you to quickly view your search results there.

The update comes with backup and restoration features for easy transfer of configurations to new devices or after a reset. It also provides enterprise customers with management features like locking parts of the Start menu, loading specific configurations at login, and deployment improvements.
