Spotify launches new artist profile pages with music, events, and merch sections

Shortly after the launch of features like 'Showcase' and 'Songwriter Promo Cards,' Spotify has now introduced a new artist profile pages, divided into three primary sections: Music, Events, and Merch. The Music section displays an artist's songs and albums, including Clips, short videos where artists can share their experiences in a short video format, pretty similar to Stories in a lot of other social networks. Artists can also add fundraising links and highlight popular releases, playlists, and an Artist Pick, updated every six months. Artists can also include a bio and link to their profiles on other platforms.

The Music tab also features the "Fans Also Like" and "Appears On" sections, recommending music and albums similar to the artist's style, including their contributions as songwriters or producers. The Events section allows fans to purchase tickets or express interest in upcoming events, with ticket sales managed by partners like Ticketmaster and Eventbrite.

The Merch section gives artists a space to display up to 12 merchandise items, with the newest items appearing first, powered by Shopify. The updated artist profile design is currently only available on Spotify's mobile app, with plans for further enhancements to improve artist-fan interactions in the future.
