Social News platform Post expands to Android, and launches tools for newsletter sharing

Post News, the social news platform alternative to X, Substack Notes or Artifact, is extending its services to Android users and launching new tools for easier newsletter content sharing. This follows its previous presence on iOS, broadening the platform's accessibility.

To enhance its platform, Post has also rolled out several new tools for content creators, including auto-ingestion and distribution of newsletter content. These features are designed to enhance monetization for publishers and independent creators by automatically sharing newsletter content with Post's audience, removing the need for manual input. Creators can then receive micropayments and tips for individual posts or in discounted bundles, and promote their newsletter subscriptions on the platform (similar to Substack). Post earns revenue by taking a small percentage from these micropayments, with the average CPMs for paid posts reaching $25 for publishers.

The Post app, available on Android, iOS, and desktop, offers features like native video uploads, push notifications, trending topics, expanded editing, sharing capabilities, and autosave. The platform has grown significantly, boasting over 440,000 registered users and a 30% monthly increase in active users. Users spend an average of 30 minutes daily on the platform, indicating high engagement levels. Over 100 premium publishers, including Fortune, The Boston Globe, CNN, and The New Yorker, are part of the platform, which offers a user-friendly experience free from redirections to publisher sites, ads, and subscription paywalls.
