Shazam app introduces 'Concerts' feature for personalized live show recommendations

Apple has introduced a new "Concerts" feature in its Shazam app, aimed at helping users find local live shows. The feature personalizes event recommendations based on the user's Shazam history.

The Concerts feature, similar to what Spotify does in artist's profile, or other more specialized alternatives such as Bandsintown or Songkick, suggests tour dates based on the user's location and music tastes. It allows users to save events, set reminders for upcoming shows, access ticket information, and access exclusive content such as downloadable watch faces, wallpapers, behind-the-scenes videos, tour photos, and set lists.

Currently, the Concerts feature is only available on iOS, but an Android version is expected soon. Apple is also integrating concert data into the Spotlight search feature on iOS 17.
