Wunderlist listing app will be shut down on May 6th, 2020, replaced with Microsoft To Do
Popular list making and sharing app Wunderlist is officially shutting down on May 6th and being directly succeeded by Microsoft To Do.
In a final post on the official Wunderlist blog, the development team shared that you can continue to utilize Wunderlist until the May 6th shutdown. In the meantime, you can choose to do multiple things with your list data. You can export it so you can use the software or service of your choice in order to maintain as much familiarity, comfort, and continuity as possible, or you can have Microsoft To Do import your Wunderlist data.
The development team assures that the most popular features of Wunderlist have made it into Microsoft To Do, including the following:
• list groups (folders)
• steps (subtasks)
• file attachments
• sharing and task assignments
This is also supplemented by new features incorporated into To Do, including color coding for lists and multi-factor authentication for added security. Following the May 6th shutdown, Wunderlist will no longer sync your data across your devices, but you will still be able to have Microsoft To Do import your data.
The former Wunderlist development team is still actively developing and maintaining Microsoft To Do, which can be accessed at todo.microsoft.com.
