Epic Games is giving away 1 game a day from December 19 to January 1
In an effort to drive competition for PC gaming storefronts, Epic Games has launched a competitive holiday sale for the next 2 weeks that includes one free game a day.
As a part of the Fortnite developer's holiday sale on its self-titled Epic Games Store, every person that has an Epic Games account will be able to redeem and download a game for free from the store. The first day's free game was the critically acclaimed indie strategy RPG Into the Breach. The remaining 11 games will be revealed every 24 hours when they're up for grabs.
This is on top of the discounts that Epic is hosting on its dedicated holiday sale page. These discounts are supplemented by a $10 "Epic Coupon" that takes an additional $10 off the sale price of each game. For every game purchased worth $15 or more, Epic will give you an additional $10 "Epic Coupon" as well.
These giveaways and discount measures are in direct competition with the Steam Winter Sale and the GOG.com Winter Sale. This means that, even for those who prefer those storefronts as their PC gaming platform of choice, the competition is bound to incur better deals and incentives from all 3 providers.
