Windows 10 keylogger setting moved in the latest Creators Update

Referred to as "Speech, inking, & typing" by Microsoft in Windows 10's privacy settings, the operating system's latest update (referred to as the Spring Creators Update by Microsoft) changes the steps for how to disable the recording and uploading of your typing history to the company.

Here is the process to disable this feature within Windows 10 that Microsoft provides on its official site:

1. Go to Start, then select Settings Privacy Speech, inking, & typing.
2. Select Turn off speech services and typing suggestions. This clears the data on your device, and turns off cloud-based speech recognition. It also resets the local user dictionary used to improve your typing and inking.

However, if you've previously allowed Cortana to store information within this category within the cloud, you will have to clear out this data by following these additional steps:

1. Select the search box on the taskbar. Then select Settings  Change what Cortana knows about me in the cloud.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Clear.

Finally, to ensure that no one that uses your computer will have their typing history sent to Microsoft, here are the steps to disallow Microsoft from using your typing info to "improve typing and writing services":

1. Go to Start, then select Settings Privacy Feedback & diagnostics.
2. Turn Diagnostic and usage data to Basic.
