TexitEasy is a free, cross-platform and open-source latex editor. TexitEasy has all the features a modern editor can have. VimTeX is a Vim plugin that provides support for writing LaTeX documents. It is based on LaTeX-Box and it shares a similar goal: to provide a simple and lightweight LaTeX plugin. It has been rewritten from scratch to provide a more modern code base. LaTeXDraw is a graphical drawing editor for LaTeX. LaTeXDraw can be used to 1) generate PSTricks code; 2) directly create PDF or PS pictures. LaTeXDraw is developed in Java and thus runs on top of Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. GNU TeXmacs is a free scientific editing platform designed to create beautiful technical documents. It provides a unified and user friendly framework for editing structured documents with different types of content: text, math, graphics, slides, etc. Gummi is a lightweight LaTeX editor for the Linux/GTK+ platform, released as free open-source software. It is designed with simplicity in mind and includes features that will make a novice LaTeX user quickly become accustomed to this mark-up language.
