Lantern gives each child one page of YouTube videos, with no search box and no autoplay. A parent writes a few sentences about each kid and sets a few dials, such as how scary, how loud and busy, or how pushy about buying things a video may be.

Kivvie is a whitelist-only YouTube app for kids. Parents approve specific YouTube channels, and children only see videos from those channels, with no Shorts, comments, or algorithmic recommendations.
