Should note that on the Play store version, the free tier only allows storing feeds / data locally or via Dropbox.
Syncing to Miniflux, FreshRSS, Google Drive require a subscription but are available (excluding Drive) on the F-Droid version.

OpenScreen currently has some issues with performance issues and long export times that are being worked on. If you are on Linux, Hosaka is more performant and works great for creating similar polished videos.
Works great and is more usable than the Electron based alternatives, especially on low-end hardware since it's a native Linux app.
Very useful if you do a lot of tutorial-style videos or even short recordings. Output video is comparable to Screen Studio with animated cursors, auto zoom upon clicks, dynamic webcam shrinking upon zooms.
Nifty feature to also upload the recording directly to YouTube or an S3 bucket. Time taken to record a video, trim, export and upload it is way shorter compared...

Note that the Muon-SSH fork supports SFTP but not FTP. Source: https://github.com/devlinx9/muon-ssh/issues/80
Trying to connect to the FTP port fails. The original repo doesn't have support for either protocol
Fairly new but the developer is constantly updating it and fixing bugs. Shaping up to be a great, FOSS GTD app.
Has a great guided GTD review process (for daily, weekly reviews) that implements everything outlined in GTD (such as clarifying tasks, reviewing stale projects, waiting etc.). This can be very useful to making the review process easier and ensuring you review things properly.
Has notifications for tasks and review reminders. Also has AI integrations for organizing your tasks. If...
Great app that implements the GTD method very well. Has some nice quality of life features like scheduled tasks being moved to 'Next actions' on the scheduled date, quickly setting task properties when entering the task title (kind of like smart add in other todo apps). Most things can be done with just the keyboard and the default keybinds are very vim-inspired. Development has kind of slowed down but the app works well regardless. You may be able to create custom scripts, web apps to perform...
Youtui is still maintained and being worked on by the dev. Ytermusic will download songs to your disk for playing, which may not be preferable. Youtui will only keep songs in memory so you don't have to worry about songs taking up space. Source
Youtui also has a better UI with album covers and separate panes.
Before deciding to use this, know that on the free tier, others will be able to create sub-domains on your domain and point them to whatever without needing your approval. The site doesn't even email you about this, and will only notify you when you log in. More info here: https://freedns.afraid.org/queue/explanation.php
Thought it was a good enough free service till I found that there were three shady subdomains on one of my domains. One of them was a slightly modified clone of an existing...
If you've used Regain in the past, the app has now pivoted to be more of a study / work focus timer. The standard app limit features are still there, though less prominent.
Has an emphasis on Swiss design, evident from their templates and overall design philosophy. So, it can be a good option for designers, artists and creatives.
Do note that there is vendor lock-in as there isn't a way to export your site or content (as of 2025-10-24).
