What is Yellowball?

Yellowball is a podcast hosting service that is built to give podcasters more control and less nonsense.

Don't just host your podcast. Own it. Most platforms host your feed on their domain—so if they shut down or lock your account, your podcast and your audience could disappear overnight. With Yellowball, you own your RSS feed at your domain (like feed.yourdomain.com). No platform can take that away. Your listeners stay with you. Always.

No badges, no awards Some hosting platforms offer badges and awards when you hit certain milestones—that’s not my style. As someone who’s created content on YouTube for years, I’ve seen how those awards can create unnecessary pressure. Sure, it feels great when you make a banger, but what about when your latest content doesn’t measure up? It can leave you second-guessing your work. When you create, you should create freely. At Yellowball, there are no badges to earn—you’re only accountable to yourself.

No BS? What does that even mean? At Yellowball, no BS starts with privacy. Too many platforms demand personal data they don't need. With me, all you need to sign up is a username and password—no email required. Want to host an anonymous podcast? You can do that here. I support crypto payments, so you can pay with Monero or Bitcoin—no credit card needed.

Tracking not included These days, most websites are packed with trackers like Google Analytics, monitoring your every move—it’s all BS. I don’t do that at Yellowball. No tracking scripts, no hidden analytics tools. You’ll still get the data you need for your show, like download numbers and listener locations, but it’s all collected through straightforward web server logs—not invasive code.

No mandatory branding Just like I avoid labels on my clothes, I’m not putting them on your embedded player or hosted podcast site. Sure, companies want their name out there, and having their logo on your content helps spread the word. But if you're paying for something, it shouldn’t come with strings attached. With Yellowball, branding is optional and can be easily disabled—no extra charge, it’s always included.

KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid I built Yellowball because I couldn’t find a simple, private hosting solution when I started my podcast. I wanted something reliable with minimal features—not a fancy dashboard that wastes time. My goal was to focus on creating, not navigating through unnecessary complexity.

Unlimited downloads I believe you shouldn’t have to pay more just because your audience is growing. With unlimited downloads, you can focus on creating great content without worrying about extra costs as your show gains more listeners. Punishing success? That’s BS, and I don’t do that.
