Yandex Browser is a simple and easy-to-use internet browser. Based on the 
Chromium technology platform, it loads pages quickly, just shows you what you need and gives you plenty of space for viewing webpages. It has a cloud-based “safe browsing technology”, together with Kaspersky Lab’s security solution, that will safeguard users by warning them about potentially malicious websites. It also has a great built-in PDF viewer.

I test a lot of browsers, but I keep using Yandex as my main browser for years now. It's clean looking and supports all Opera/Chrome extensions. It's fast and has some features built in. It's based on Chrome/Opera, but has a different, I think more convenient, user interface. Additional features: Turbo (compresses images & videos for slow connections), Protect: secures open wifi connections and goes into secure mode (no plugins etc), if you do banking. Reading mode, duplicate downloads recognition (you can choose to open instead of re-download) - in Chrome you automatically get duplicates. Animated background pictures. It has a real user support. You can ask questions and get response. Yandex ZEN is for News and works well also in German. I also use the Android version, which can be used in combination with AdGuard. I consider it the best browser for Android and I tried a lot. Downsides: The German translation is existent, but not very good. Currently they don't have a community driven language program, so there are some weird German words in settings. But most of the translation is quite okay. There are also some not useful things like the voice assistant and some interfaces to Russian services; but you can turn this off. Recently they turned the home button option off (or I didn't find it) and the forward button doesn't always appear. But this are minor things. Generally I would recommend everyone to al least test it. :-)
I totally agree with your review except the translator part. First let me say I'm Not a computer/Android wiz. I keep installing cause I love the app, But I keep uninstalling it cause of translation. Preinstalled google translator on phone. Every time different page comes up have to go thru Whole irritating process of translation to google. Is there any app or a way to make Yandex completely show English? If you are Anyone knows would be greatly appreciated. Also have you ever tried Mint browser and downloader? Main browser I use. Thanks again.
It's really good, I just can't seem to see my extensions in the extensions bar, so I can't turn them on for incognito. If someone knows how to show the Extensions in the extensions place, please do tell me.
I never thought I'd be using this browser in 2025. However, the auto-generated subtitle and dubbing feature is just genius, so I sometimes use that to watch videos. Nice work, Yandex. Finally a Chromium clone that has a really unique and useful feature, not just cosmetic embellishments.
It has been distributed as bundleware numerous times. That can't be a good sign.
Comparing it with Chrome, the strongest aspect of Yandex Browser is its interface, especially when it comes to video.

Unfortunately, in Russia, companies are obliged by law to store data in the country and provide it to the Federal Security Service (FSB) without notifying the user and upon the first demand. Therefore, for politically active citizens of any country, using it may be unsafe, despite all the positive features I listed earlier.
Já testei vários navegadores antes e depois do yandex e ainda acho que o russo é o melhor. Uso no celular e no PC, tenho vários perfis e cada um com senhas e favoritos acessíveis, as senhas são protegidas por uma senha-mestre e há muitas utilidades que se tornaram essenciais para mim como o tradutor de páginas (ótimo, baseado no Yandex Translate) e email (do yandex que é excelente) e páginas de fundo. Já o uso há mais de 6 anos e só tenho elogios, o motor de busca yandex é muito superior ao google, bing e duckduckgo.
