What is Xstitchify?
Xstitchify is a free online cross stitch pattern maker that runs entirely in the browser. There is no app to download and no account needed to start.
Convert a photo into a stitchable chart, generate text and lettering patterns in multiple languages, create scannable QR code patterns, or draw from scratch on a blank grid. Patterns are matched automatically to real thread colours across DMC, Anchor, Madeira and Cosmo, and a confetti reduction tool clears out the isolated single stitches that make charts miserable to work from.
A built-in progress tracker lets you mark stitches off as you sew and syncs across iPad, iPhone, Android, PC and Mac, so you can chart on a desktop and stitch from a tablet. Apple Pencil is supported for drawing and editing, including a pressure brush for hand lettering and sketching. Patterns export as printable PDFs that are Pattern Keeper compatible, and existing charts can be imported from OXS, PCStitch .pat and Pattern Maker .xsd files.
Free supporting tools include the full 454-colour DMC chart, thread conversion between brands, and fabric, thread and time calculators.
