Xiphos (formerly known as GnomeSword) is a Bible study tool written for Linux, UNIX, and Windows under the GNOME toolkit, offering a rich and featureful environment for reading, study, and research using modules from The SWORD Project and elsewhere. It is open-source software, and available free-of-charge to all.
BibleTime has been buggy, with styles not changing, crashes occurring, and it being impossible to change the font size or font family successfully, even though this is a feature and used to work. Xiphos was a great alternative. The scrolling is not as jittery, the font size and font family can be successfully changed. It has all the features of BibleTime (that I can tell) and none of the bugs/issues.
