Said about XBoot as an alternative
xboot is still available, I use it all the time. It's still the best product I've found for launching an ISO directly within windows without rebooting. Forget the complexity with VMs' just drag the iso into xboot and it launches. No reboot, no install.
it can work with a lot of differents support (such as usb key, cd and dvd for example). You can test your iso and also custummizethe background. However it's very difficult to change the order of the differents distros
It has inbuilt test of created iso file

xboot is the best system I've found for creating multiboot usb sticks. Supports both PE/DOS/ISO and linux-live-systems. Most other systems I've tried are more complicated or even don't work. easy: just drag iso into window. nearly all images are recognized automatically. if not, you can choose the right starter. Manu Names can easily be changed.
It requires .NET Framework 4.0 installed in your system. "NOTE: Windows XP, VISTA ,7 install Disks are not supported. So do not try to add them."
