What is X (Twitter) Video Downloader?

X (Twitter) Video Downloader is a free, MIT-licensed browser extension from GoodExts. It adds a download action to X posts so you can save videos as MP4 files, GIFs and photos at the quality X provides. Right-click the action to choose a video resolution or image size; the popup also offers quality selection. On a profile Videos tab, batch download collects the media loaded as the page scrolls, with pause and stop controls, up to three concurrent downloads and a pause on X rate limits. Files are organized in a Downloads subfolder per account by default. You can customize filenames and folders, choose a Save As prompt, avoid duplicate downloads, and search, re-download or export your local download history. The interface follows the browser language in nine locales. It runs as a Chrome/Edge extension and is not affiliated with X.
