No need to install Texmaker or other desktop applications and deal with the errors. Just register and use. Less of a hassle, fast and can collaborate with others. Used with Mathpix and hostmath you cand copy and edit easily any equation.

If you are a “real man” knowing what you are doing… you are better off using Git to share your .tex files and using TeXStudio or Kile locally. Your workflow will be quicker, you will be able to control the changes better and you will not depend on an internet connection. Overleaf it's very “Google docs”, I hate these type of always-online approaches.
Free for simple usage, which is more than enough for the majority of use-cases regarding LaTeX. No need for installing anything, just works.
