What is WinCompose?
WinCompose is a compose key for Windows. It allows to easily write special characters such as é ž à û ø ð ¤ Ø « = µ, and many more using short and often very intuitive key combinations. For instance, ö is obtained using o + ", and » is obtained using > + >.
WinCompose also supports Emoji input for emojis such as 😁 👻 👍 💩 🎁 🌹 🐊 and many more.

Simple and easy to type french characters.
Incredible useful, quick, easy to learn and still stay out of the way. Truly speeds up how to insert special characters, symbols and similar. The function of WinCompose should have been integrated in Windows.
simple and powerfull way to insert special characters
It allows me to easily type siimple (and not so simple) characters on Windows that is deficient on this point
I don't know why this program doesn't have a higher rating, it's invaluable as a speaker of Afrikaans which uses a lot of accented letters. It's extremely simple to use and you can even add your own key combination to produce characters or emoji like this ¯_( " )_/¯ shrug emoji and many more. HIGHLY recommended!
Plase note the shrug emoji did not come out right on this forum, but try it yourself in other programs and apps.
