What is Whisper Transcriber Suite?

Whisper Transcriber Suite is a free, open-source desktop app that runs OpenAI's Whisper speech recognition on your own computer. Drop in an audio or video file, or paste a YouTube link, and get a transcript or subtitles (SRT, VTT, ASS, TXT, DOCX, PDF and more). It can label speakers (who said what), add word timestamps, burn subtitles into a video, and transcribe live from the microphone. Engines: faster-whisper (default), whisper.cpp and NVIDIA Parakeet, with NVIDIA GPU support. Once the model is downloaded, transcription works offline; there is no account, no subscription and no per-minute cost. The interface is available in 42 languages.
