What is WDF Image Metadata Remover?

WDF Image Metadata Remover shows you what hidden data your photos carry, then gives you a clean copy without it.

It strips EXIF (including GPS location, camera and device details), XMP, IPTC and C2PA Content Credentials, the metadata that AI image generators and editing apps add to files. It supports JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF.

Images are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to a server. Metadata is removed losslessly, so the image is not re-compressed and quality stays the same. Photos keep the correct orientation after cleaning. It is free, with no sign-up, watermark or limits.

The same cleaning is also available as a free WordPress plugin (WDF AI Metadata Remover on WordPress.org) that scans a site's media library and cleans existing uploads in bulk.
