What is waveAlign?
waveAlign is a loudness normalization application designed specifically to eliminate track volume inconsistencies for DJs. It processes entire audio libraries to ensure every track reaches the same perceived loudness using the broadcast standard BS1770 LUFS. This provides a consistent baseline volume for DJ sets, reducing the need for manual trim adjustments during performances.
If a track is too loud, the software simply lowers its overall volume without altering its dynamic range. For quieter tracks, it utilizes a transparent, production-grade limiter to increase volume while preventing audio clipping and distortion.
A core feature of waveAlign is that it only alters the audio's loudness. It preserves all original file metadata, including ID3 tags, cue points, BPM data, and playlists, ensuring tracks do not need to be re-analyzed in DJ software after processing.
Key Features:
- Batch processing for entire music libraries.
- Full loudness normalization using BS1770 LUFS standards.
- Preserves all DJ metadata, cue points, and tags.
- Supports all major audio formats (.wav, .aiff, .mp3, .flac).
