What is Wav2Bar?

Wav2Bar is a FOSS desktop app that lets you make nice visuals for your audio source, to then share on the internet.

The workflow is as follows:

  1. Set the video framerate and resolution, and choose the desired audio source. You can save and load back your project at any time, and all the assets are copied into the save file, which makes it easy to transfer and backup.

  2. Wav2Bar work with objects that you add to craft your video. These of course include visualizers, but also timers, text, images (that can also be used as basic rectangles and ellipses), particle flows and backgrounds.

  3. Set the output path, press export, and wait for the export to finish. Once done, you will find a .mp4 video file in the directory you specified, ready to be uploaded online!

You can hover over the question marks next to properties to get help about a particular feature (a little text bubble appears after a little instant).

The app is currently being rewritten from scratch to make it easier to extend and maintain. The rewrite is being licensed under MPL-2.0.
