What is WaterSheep?

WaterSheep is an open-source (Apache 2.0) alternative to TypeSafe's Jev. Ask a typed question about any text (yes/no, single choice, rating scale or multi-label) and get the answer with a probability for every option, ready for your code to use.

It runs as a local HTTP server that answers Jev's POST /v1/systemone requests, so TypeSafe's own Python SDK works against it after changing base_url. It also works from Python via Hugging Face transformers. Code, weights and training pipeline are open, so you can retrain it on your own data.
