Can't provide anything substantive except to note that Malwarebytes goes apeshit when trying to get to the developer's website and then, even when whitelisted, blocks the site's downloads. Perhaps the developer might want to rectify this. On the outside chance that all this is a genuine threat, I'm not even going to eMail the dev and risk get on a spam list.
