it can load a chm, convert/clone to VMC, then edit it or erase it and start over. After that it can save/export back to chm.

Only the paid "CHM Editor" is a true all-in-one alternative. Not super intuitive but a quick readme/video on the net and you can make your own PROFESSIONAL, no branding/ads, CHM/VCM with advanced media integration
