vNAS Alternatives

vNAS is described as 'Compuverde is built to scale and it scales linearly. Each node consists of the same setup, and therefore Compuverde is completely scaleable with no single point of failure'. There are four alternatives to vNAS for a variety of platforms, including Linux, Microsoft Hyper-V Server, Red Hat, Self-Hosted solutions and SUSE Linux Enterprise. The best alternative is TrueNAS, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like vNAS are StorPool (Paid), ReadyNAS (Paid) and Open-E Data Storage Software SOHO (Freemium).
