Viridia is a gardening app that identifies plants from a photo and helps you take care of them.
Plant identification: take one or several photos of a plant (flower, leaf, fruit or bark) and Viridia suggests up to three likely species, each with a confidence level. When two independent analysis engines agree on a species, the suggestion is marked as confirmed. Your first identification in the mobile app is free and needs no account; a free account then includes identifications every month.
After identification: each species has a care page with light, watering, soil, pruning and hardiness, plus toxicity notes for children and pets when available. Viridia also compares the plant's hardiness with your garden's climate.
Plant health: the photo-based health check analyzes visible signs such as yellowing leaves, spots or drying out, suggests possible treatments and helps you follow the plant's recovery. It is an estimate, not a definitive diagnosis.
Garden management: organize your plants by garden zone, build an inventory (including from a video of your garden), keep each plant's history in dated photos, and follow a care calendar with watering adjusted to real local weather.
Assistant and community: Rootsy, an AI assistant that knows your garden, answers your gardening questions. Each garden can have a public showcase page, and gardeners can follow each other and exchange in a forum.
Available on iPhone, Android and the web, in 26 languages. The free plan has limits; Viridia Premium adds more identifications, health checks and features. Your data can be exported or deleted at any time.
