One of the longest-running ROM sites around, still being great to this day!

Pros:

  • Dumps from consoles that aren't on most ROM sites (i.e. Original Xbox, Virtual Boy, WiiWare.)
  • Finally getting around to adding Japanese and European games since the site only hosted American ROMs through-out it's lifetime.
  • CRC Data, Serial Numbers and other identifiers for games listed.
  • Emulator recommendations, game manual archives and other community efforts.
  • An online emulator for lightweight games (mainly from 3rd-6th Gen, like the N64 and GBA.)

Cons

  • Downloads are limited to one per game, meaning you can't download multiple ROMs at the same time.
  • Has advertisements, including trackers from Google.
  • Downloads are also slow for some games, so I'd recommend downloading them through a download manager.

The only site I've found that have HASHES (MD5, etc) information of the roms, so you can check whether the game compatible with RETROACHIEVEMENTS (.org) or not.

I would love to know if there's an alt sites that's include hashes information as well.
