What is upup?

upup is a free, MIT-licensed drag-and-drop file uploader for web apps. One headless core powers native UI packages for React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, Preact, vanilla JavaScript and Next.js, so every framework gets the same uploader instead of a wrapper.

Files go straight to S3-compatible storage (AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, MinIO and others) through presigned URLs, or through your own server in server mode, where the companion server package signs every request.

Users can pick files from their device, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box, a link, the camera, the microphone or a screen capture. Built in: image compression and HEIC conversion, resumable multipart uploads with crash recovery, progress and retry, file type and size limits, translations and theming.
