UptimeLog is a macOS software tool that monitors internet connectivity and records disruptions. It runs in the background, tracking each outage's start, end, and duration. A dashboard and activity heatmap help identify recurring issues.
The software examines various connection aspects including the Mac, network interface, Wi-Fi, router, DNS, ISP, or other upstream network to identify the source of a failure. This is especially useful for brief or sporadic outages that disappear before troubleshooting begins.
UptimeLog records data such as outage start and end times, outage duration, internet availability history, Wi-Fi and network interface information, router and DNS availability, public IP address and ISP data, activity heatmap, and historical statistics.
UptimeLog can generate PDF and CSV reports of outage history, useful for discussing recurring connectivity issues with an ISP. It uses a local web-based dashboard and stores data directly on the Mac, eliminating the need for a cloud account or subscription.
