What is Unicorn Panel?

Unicorn Panel is a self-hosted web hosting control panel built for running multiple servers. One Primary panel manages websites, databases, mailboxes and DNS zones across any number of Secondary servers, each assigned roles such as web, database, mail, DNS or backup storage.

Every website runs containerized in its own Podman container with its own Linux user, PHP-FPM pool, database (if Mimir is used) and CPU, memory, disk and process limits. Sites can use NGINX, Apache, OpenLiteSpeed or Unicorn's own Sleipnir web server, with PHP versions from 5.6 to 8.5. Databases can use MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL or the lightweight Mimir SQL engine. The Hermes mail suite provides SMTP, IMAP, DKIM, spam filtering, virus scanning and Roundcube webmail, and the Heimdall DNS server replicates zones across hosts with optional DNSSEC.

Other features include a WordPress toolkit, granular backups that can restore a single file, database table or mail folder, off-host backups to another server, S3, SFTP or rsync, white-label branding for resellers, passkey sign-in, a REST API and a command-line tool.

Unicorn Panel runs on Alpine Linux 3.20 or newer on amd64 and arm64 and has no usage telemetry. The free tier covers 2 servers and 2 accounts with unlimited websites, databases, mailboxes and DNS zones. Paid plans start at $5 per month.
