TuneBrowser is close to being the perfect audio player. Compared to all the major alternatives TB is by far the most modern and elegant looking. The UI is stunningly good straight out of the box but if you do want to customise it there are plenty of options. In terms of playback there is another huge selection of options available to enable you to get the best sound possible. TB plays all the major files types. I'm not one for assembling playlists. I prefer just to browse my albums and play what suits my mood at the time. However, if playlists are your preference then TB lets you assemble playlists quite easily and to have them available as tabs sitting along the top of your library. Again, there are multiple ways to display your music files so there should be something for everyone. Overall I am hugely impressed with this player. It is a breath of fresh air in terms of appearance and it is clear a lot of thought has gone into its development. The only negative is that I feel the full version is pricey given that there are plenty of other excellent and capable players out there. OK, TB looks fantastic and does a great job of playing your music but the developer wants £25.99 as a one-off payment. The question is, are you prepared to spend that to get a nice UI when MusicBee, AIMP, Foobar2000 and others are free. I'm not sure.
