What is ToothFairy?

ToothFairy is a utility tool that simplifies the connection of AirPods and other Bluetooth devices to a Mac. It allows users to connect or disconnect their devices with one click or keypress, and displays device-specific icons on the menu bar for connection status and battery level. It improves the audio output quality by using a superior codec and can execute scripts when Bluetooth devices are connected or disconnected.

The software is compatible with any Bluetooth device that can be paired with a Mac, excluding HomePod. It displays the connection status and battery level of AirPods on the menu bar. For better audio quality, ToothFairy uses the AAC codec instead of the SCO codec.

ToothFairy supports multiple Bluetooth devices with customizable icons and hotkeys. It launches automatically upon login and can be controlled via AppleScript. It can execute a script when AirPods are connected or disconnected and monitors the battery level of Magic Mouse or Magic Keyboard to prevent power depletion. It reconnects these devices quickly after charging or if a disconnection occurs.
