What is TonePerfect?

TonePerfect is an AI pronunciation coach for Mandarin Chinese, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Japanese and Korean. You record a word or sentence, and it scores the whole recording, each word, and each sound inside each word from 0 to 100, then ranks your weakest sounds so you know what to drill next. In Mandarin it scores the tone of every syllable separately from the consonant and vowel, and shows which tone it heard. English is scored against a standard American reference.

Free pronunciation tests run in the browser with no account. The iOS, Android and web apps add guided daily practice, with a free tier and a Premium subscription. Chrome extensions are available for five languages.
