holy crap that was quick. you bloody legend! Easy instant install. I'm actually typing this comment on it. I actually just set it straight to main keyboard cause you were spot on about the easy learning curve compared with every other alt layout keyboard I tried or looked at. It was much faster than those right from the start and I don't even feel the need to put effort into memorising anything, even learning the layout seems effortless with normal use and doesn't take any effort to build. holy crap that was quick. you bloody legend! The ability to instantly on first launch be usable without any effort and quick enough to be practical and easy to use as primary makes this a joy to start using. These keyboards have always appealed for potential of typing lightning quick with ease but first required sacrifice of spending heaps of time and pain taking 5 minutes to write 4 words until it becomes natural.
It's a combo of adopting the layout QWERTY layout as well a user friendly overall design. The QWERTY layout means everyone is already familiar enough to use without much thought, alternatives have all required fluently memorising a new unique system before its usable. The swipe function is quick easy to understand and use and having 5 circles doesn't need to be a super clever unique concept because it makes feel close to a a normal keyboad while having alt keyboard features.
Anyone can use this one.
ahahaah thank you so much! To be honest, the process to make everything work with Obtainium was very easy, and I was thinking of releasing tOndO in different stores than Google Play for a long time... I just needed a little reminder to actually do it. I'm very happy your first impact was good... this was one of our main objectives with this project!
I like tOndO keyboard because I developed it :)
Pretty valid reason. Looks interesting, will be installing as a secondary Keyboard and seeing if it takes. The biggest thing that stood out over similar alternatives is the QWERTY layout style. I tried one of these keyboards years ago and loved the idea but felt so unintuitive too slow to ever use. Hopefully this one solves that problem, I'd love to use it as my main one.
Also, is there a reason for Play Store being the only install Source? I'm using Grapheme OS and will Never install or use the Play Store. Is it possible to have tOndO released somewhere else like Github so I can install it with Obtanium
Thank you very much! Please let us know how it goes! As for why Google Play is the only source of installation: we were lazy :) However, we have just added the latest release directly to GitHub, and we have also added direct links on the repository home page to add tOndO to Obtainium as well.
