What is Tomatino?

Tomatino is a Pomodoro timer for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Starting a session starts your music and, on the Mac, turns on a Focus mode. The break pauses the music and gives the Mac back the Focus it had before. Music comes from Apple Music, from Spotify on the Mac, or from a folder of files that Tomatino plays itself, with no account and offline.

On the Mac it lives in the menu bar as a small capsule, filled while running and coloured by phase, and the dial can also float on screen next to your work. On iPhone and iPad the dial takes the whole screen, and the countdown moves to the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island as a Live Activity.

Work lengths from 5 to 90 minutes, sessions per cycle and auto-start, a global shortcut on the Mac, and Spotlight, Shortcuts and Siri to start and pause. It pauses when the Mac sleeps, or keeps it awake during a session if you turn that on. Your settings travel between your devices through your own iCloud.

Tomatino has no server of its own and measures nothing about how you work. It speaks eleven languages. One purchase covers Mac, iPhone and iPad, with no subscription. Requires macOS 26 on Apple silicon, iOS 26 or iPadOS 26.
