I looked for an alternative to tlk.io which is a web page that lets 2+ people visit a web page and chat.

EVERY single alternative was for software to plug into your web site to allow chatting to "customers".

Not alternatives, and not even remotely similar.

There is an alternative: Small ChatFarm iconChatFarm. Being very simple to use it also has an option of deep integration with a site. I.e. you can integrate it with your site users database and disable guests for some channels if you want.
