What is TickerScribe?
TickerScribe is a free trading journal for stocks and options. It auto-detects 30+ option strategies (spreads, straddles, iron condors, and more — up to 8 legs), tracks Greeks and implied volatility at open and close, and follows rollover chains, assignments, and expirations. Cash-secured puts, assignments, and covered calls link automatically into one wheel position across stocks and options. Trades import via CSV — auto-detected for major brokers such as Interactive Brokers, Schwab, thinkorswim, and Robinhood, with a universal column mapper for other brokers and journals. Open stock positions are marked to delayed market quotes for a live unrealized P&L, and a Market Today view reads the session at a glance — market sentiment, volatility, and index direction, plus news filtered to the tickers you hold and a breakdown of how you've performed in conditions like today's. P&L is tracked on a double-entry ledger, with a performance dashboard, per-ticker reports, trade analysis (day-of-week, time-of-day, hold time, DTE), a daily journal with notes and screenshots, and an ad-free shareable P&L calendar with optional amount masking. Supports multiple accounts with separate currencies. Completely free — no credit card, no trade caps.
