The Font Thing is a freeware program for managing TrueType fonts in Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0. It hasn't been designed for but work well under Windows XP and 7.
This is an old software, but still one of the very best, lightweigth, fast and useful.

I can't belive The Font Thing is still better than any other font manager, without any new release since december 1999...
The interface is quite ugly by modern standards, but this is still the only free working solution for me. Dead simple, working on Windows 7 64b, able to install, uninstall, save, group, preview fonts quickly, all on that on a program of less than 1 MB. Other programs should be ashamed.
