Voice: Rafael over the internet or Piper on your Mac, both in Brazilian Portuguese.

Text to Speech is a free, open-source (MIT) app that reads selected text aloud on the Mac. Select text in any app and press one shortcut: a small floating player shows the word being spoken and goes away when the reading ends.

Two voices, both in Brazilian Portuguese: Rafael, a natural voice from Fish Audio over the internet, or Piper, which runs on your Mac with no network. The interface is in English and Brazilian Portuguese. A menu bar app built with Tauri and Rust for Macs with Apple Silicon, signed and notarized by Apple. No account, no telemetry.
