What is texspark?

texspark is a native macOS LaTeX editor built on Apple's own text engine — not a cross-platform port or an Electron app. It brings together everything a LaTeX writer needs in one window: a fast custom build pipeline (xelatex, latexmk, BibTeX, and more, chainable with &&), two-way SyncTeX that works across multi-file projects, a recursive outline that follows our \input/\include chain, a minimap, and a built-in AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) that can read your document and help you write.

Designed for serious multi-file projects like theses and books: set your main.tex as the build target once and every ?B compiles the right file, no matter which chapter you're editing. Sub-files auto-detect their parent on inverse search.

One-time license, no subscription. 14-day full trial, no signup required. Requires macOS 14+ and a TeX distribution (MacTeX or BasicTeX).
