Terralog is a mobile travel journal for planning, tracking, and documenting trips. It maps routes between stops with distance and travel-time estimates for driving, cycling, and walking, and can reorder stops or create an itinerary. Maps are available offline. During trips, it provides GPS tracking, stage-approach alerts, nearby-place search, weather, budget tracking with currency conversion, and links to locations in Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps.
Itinerary stages can include photos, videos, audio recordings, files, notes, and handwriting or drawings on photos. Trips have Classic, Map, Track, and In petto views. Track sorts geotagged photos into stages, while In petto is a private notebook. Trips can be saved as albums, PDFs, printable leaflets, slideshows, postcards, Markdown daily journals, website archives, or full exports for transfer to another phone.
Trips can be shared through revocable private links sent by messaging apps, email, or QR codes. Recipients can view and comment in a browser without an account. Photos, videos, audio, text, and comments are encrypted on the phone with AES-256-GCM before transfer; the key is stored in the link fragment, while the server relays data without reading it. Terralog has no ads or trackers and uses a first name, six-digit code, and phrase instead of an account. The free tier includes Classic view, two itineraries, two followers per itinerary, the Notebook album, and backup and restore. A €29.99 annual subscription adds other views, document exports, and unlimited itineraries and followers.
