Templatical

Templatical is an email editor you embed in your own web app with one init() call, in React, Vue, Svelte, Angular or no framework. Templates are JSON and render to MJML, so they display consistently across email clients and send through any provider.

• Your own backend: saving and loading, saved blocks, comments, version history, media and test email each plug into your server through a small provider object. No account or hosted service required.
• Merge tags and logic tags in Liquid, Handlebars, Mailchimp or AMPscript syntax, with sample values and previews your backend resolves.
• Custom blocks rendered from your own templates or live API data, and display conditions per recipient.
• Theming through CSS variables, dark mode, custom fonts, and brand defaults for new templates and blocks.
• An accessibility and link checker that flags issues while you edit.
• Imports from Unlayer, Beefree, Stripo, Topol, Chamaileon, Easy Email Pro, MJML and HTML.
• Isolated in shadow DOM, so your app's CSS can't leak in. UI in English, German, French, Spanish, Catalan, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil) and Japanese.
• An Agent Skill that builds whole templates from a prompt in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other agents.

The editor is source-available under FSL-1.1-MIT: each release becomes MIT two years after it ships. The renderer, types, importers and quality checker are MIT.
