What is Tap Browser?
Tap is a macOS browser built around a single canvas instead of tabs. Everything you open — web pages, notes, and small tools — stays laid out side by side in one window, in view at once, so you scroll across your work rather than switching between tabs. Drag any bookmark onto the canvas and it opens as a live, interactive card: read an inbox, play a track, or scroll a calendar without leaving the page you're on. Right-click anywhere to spawn a new page, note, contact, or search right beside what you're working on. A highlight-to-act toolbar follows any text you select, letting you translate it, ask an AI, search the web, or send it back to the app you came from. Tap also reads what you write and save, so you can ask questions across your own notes, and includes screenshot OCR to pull text out of images. Tap runs on-device, keeping your content local. It's free and requires macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon.
