Talindrew is a molecular biology platform that runs in the browser, with nothing to install.
It covers DNA sequence editing with circular and linear plasmid maps; cloning simulation (restriction, Gibson, Golden Gate, Gateway, TOPO/TA, In-Fusion, HiFi, mutagenesis); a cloning workspace that reads and writes OpenCloning cloning-strategy files on the pydna engine; PCR primer design; clone verification from Sanger traces (AB1/SCF/ZTR); multiple sequence alignment; restriction analysis and agarose gel simulation; CRISPR guide design; BLAST; and an electronic lab notebook with eLabFTW sync. It opens SnapGene .dna, GenBank, FASTA, EMBL and ApE files.
Talindrew also runs a remote MCP server that gives Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and other AI assistants 90 molecular biology tools (plasmid maps, digests and gels, primers, CRISPR, cloning steps, PubMed search and the lab notebook).
The Free plan includes the cloning suite, the lab notebook and 25 AI tool calls a week. Plus ($9/month) makes AI tool calls unlimited; Pro ($24/month) and Max ($99/month) add ESMFold structure prediction, the FoldRx drug discovery pipeline and an AI assistant.
